Oh Where, Oh Where has My little Blog Gone!

I have a blog....I have a blog with only two posts! Wait...after this, it will be three!!
You see, I have never been a good planner... Never! I am a "fly by the seat of my pants" kind of girl. I use to deny it, but now I have chosen to embrace it! So in "planning" my blog, I did not take into account that I would be moving into a new house in a matter of days...but my fortune cookie told me to "share my thoughts"(refer to 1st post)... Well of course I had to do what it said. You can't tell a fortune cookie your too busy... It should know that, right? Right! So of course, I started my blog...
Please bear with me ...my posts may be few and far between for a couple of weeks...and maybe no one is reading this, so this may not even be a concern..but I'm going to pretend it does.
Now...I have been thinking about what is going to keep the interest of my dear reader, let's be optimistic, readers. I am not above bribery, so I do plan to have give-aways. What shall I give away....well, of that I'm not sure...details to follow.
Please keep checking in...sign up for the emails that will alert you when I have posted!! I just might have stuff to tell you!!!!

I Have to Tell You About Starting A Blog!!!

Ok! So yes, I started a blog....and it now occurs to me that I have to write it. I must say, it was kind of exciting yesterday to push the "publish" button...but I also must say that it was kind of scary too. Let me also just put it out there...this is my second blog. Yes, my second blog. I started the first one two days ago. Where is that blog you might ask? Well, that was the problem. I don't know. With all the frenzy of trying to start this whole blog thing, I kind of forgot what address I signed my blog up for. So....that was it for my first blog...no viewers...not even me! Sad.
So take note... The first thing I'm trying to tell you is to remember your blog address if you start one.
My kids know I started a blog...I didn't say they were happy about it, they just know. My husband called from Texas to ask how our trip was going. "Great," I said. "We have seen deer, the weather has been gorgeous, been to a couple of parties, oh and I started a blog!" He now knows I have started one too....I didn't say he was happy about it , he just knows.
He too knows I have stuff to tell people...I tell him stuff ALL the time!

The camera on the computer is a great tool, unless of course it is used at my expense. What do I mean by this? My two daughters ( ages 9 and 17)know how excited I was to post my first blog. You think they would take part in my joy, but no, they saw it as a chance to pounce on me, I
was their prey. The set up goes a little like this....my daughters are talking to the camera on the computer. They are telling the viewer that their mom just posted a blog. They were going to call me into the room and tell me I had a Follower. They suggested that I would come
frantically in the room, freaking out that someone read my blog,of course, not knowing what the little dears were up to, I would run in there and it would be caught on camera.
The girls yelled into the room I was in, "Mom! Mom! You have a Follower! Honestly, it had only been minutes since I first posted the blog. My daughters, so cute, but such novices when it comes to pranks... Or so I thought! "Yeah right," I said. "Good one!" I wasn't going to fall
for that.... My little 9 year old ran in, "Mom, Mom, you have a Follower!" they are so
silly...I wouldn't have one this soon....or would I? What if I did? What if it was like the 1st blog in the whole world that went viral that fast? I say that as I am walking, now running into the room. "where does it say I have a Follower?" The angle of the camera was such, that
you could only see my body walk into the room. A Headless Blogger so to speak. You can hear the concern in my voice, the seriousness with which I am looking for my first Follower. You
can not see the furrow in my brow, but it is evident with the headless body's hands-on-hips gesture. My oldest then states, only after I have been frantically looking for my Follower for a while, "Oh! I guess you don't. My bad!" ...and just that easy it was caught on camera! They know me so well!

Do what the Fortune Cookie Says

Well...here we sit. Me on one side of the screen, and you on the other reading these words. Maybe you are reading this because I have asked you to. ("Begged you," might be the better phrase.) Most likely you are reading this because you made a mistake...meant to go to another site. On the off chance that you came here of your own free will, I hope you find this blog entertaining.
It's not meant to change the world or solve any great life issues... I just hope to add a smile to your day.
It was my birthday two days ago, and it occurs to me I'm not getting any younger.(See...I'm full of clever observations.) I have always wanted to write a book, and by my count I have written exactly zero. I knew I would never write the Great American Novel, but seriously, I thought I could do better than zero. Maybe I could start a blog I thought. Seems like everyone has a blog...people I KNOW have blogs. A friend of mine has a blog highlighting her singing. She is extremely talented...extremely! I mentioned to her that I too might start a blog.( I love saying that because it sounds so official, like I have something to say, like I know what I'm talking about. Sweet friend had no clue I had NO idea of what I spoke.) In my best Blogger voice, I said " I'm thinking of starting a blog." Sweet friend was so enthusiastic, "That's awesome! What will you write about? Do you have a talent?". Just as enthusiastically, I replied, "No. I just have stuff to tell people!"
So...as I mentioned earlier, it was my birthday a couple of days ago. I am in Montana visiting my in-laws. My mother-in- law prepared a beautiful dinner. A Chinese dish with shrimp and UNfried rice.(Don't even ask, that is a story of it's own!) Afterwards, we had fortune cookies.
My fortune read: "Share your thoughts."
Now I am a blogger.
